Applications for Leadership Camp still being accepted

Applications for the Warwick Police Leadership camp will now be accepted until June 25. Due to a technical issue, a portion of the application detailing pricing and schedule was not posted on the website leading to confusion. That issue has been corrected, and the application due date was extended to accommodate students who still wish to enroll.

A full schedule for the four-day camp can be found on the Warwick Police Department’s new website, www.warwickpd.com, under Public Outreach. The camp will provide students ages 11 to 14 with the opportunity to take part in team building exercises, substance abuse education and anti-bullying training. Participants will also spend one day at the URI high/low ropes course and another day learning about law enforcement from Warwick’s SWAT team, K-9 team and Detective Barbara Frazier.

There will be three sessions of Warwick Police Leadership Camp this summer: July 16-19, July 23-26 and July 30-Aug 2. Registration for all three sessions is still available. The cost is $30. Fee can be waived due to financial hardship.

To find more information or to download the application, go to www.warwickpd.com.
