Apponaug hosted the Cal Ripken 12-year-old state tournament, but the league’s all-stars never quite made themselves at home. After an 11-0 loss to Washington Park in their opener, the Apponaug stars were bounced from the tournament with a 10-0 loss to West Warwick on Monday night at Kenney Field. West Warwick advanced to play Darlington in a loser’s bracket game. Washington Park awaits in the championship round.
