Arooga's and The Mohegan Holding Company, LLC, that announced a Multi-Unit franchise agreement in May of 2014 to bring 15 Arooga's Grille House and Sports Bar restaurants to New England, will open a second location in Warwick on April 19. The Mohegan Holding Company, LLC first Arooga's opened nearly a year ago adjacent to Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., and has been an area favorite ever since.

Warwick's 7,000-plus-square-foot restaurant will include more than 100 TVs showing nearly every sports package available, outdoor dining, a huge menu featuring cooked-to-order items made with high quality ingredients, handcrafted cocktails made with real fruit juices and premium spirits, and 40 beers on draft, including national and local craft favorites. This location will also be the first Green Restaurant Association certified restaurant in Rhode Island. Located at 615 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick, they expect to add 75 to 100 jobs to the region.

As part of the grand opening celebration, the first 100 people to register at Arooga's on the opening day will receive free wings for a year.

"We are excited to bring our second location to New England in partnership with The Mohegan Tribe," said Gary Huether Jr., president and co-founder of Arooga's. "We can't wait to bring our brand to Warwick in this next phase of our development with our Mohegan Tribe partners and show Rhode Islanders what we're all about.

"As we continue to diversify our portfolio, we are excited to bring this state-of-the-art restaurant experience to Warwick,"  said Kevin Brown, chairman of the Mohegan Tribe.

Since opening its first restaurant in Harrisburg, Pa. in 2008, Arooga's has strived to offer its guests the ultimate sports bar experience by offering the latest trends in technology and service and has also paved the way for sports bars everywhere to offer guests healthy dining alternatives by sourcing clean ingredients that are free of antibiotics and hormones, and in many cases certified organic. Arooga's began franchising in 2014, signing their first agreement with the Mohegan Tribe for 15 units, and have since made deals for nearly 100 units across the Northeast U.S. Arooga's operates 10 corporate locations across central Pennsylvania and has plans to open five franchise units in 2016.
