Arthur N. Williams, age 91, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, with his daughter and granddaughter by his side at Cedar Crest Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of the late Virginia R. (Neve) Williams.
Born in Providence, a son of the late James F. and Harriet A. (Wallace) Williams, he lived in Warwick since 1954. Arthur was a World War II Navy veteran. He worked at Narragansett Brewing Co. for 24 years until it closed. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and the happiest when with family and friends.
Arthur was the cherished father of Barbara F. Penza (companion Walter Marchetti); grandfather of Kristen L. (Penza) Pina and her husband, Daryl; and the great-grandfather of Ryan and Kylie Pina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alvin J. Williams, Frederick J. Williams and Muriel (Williams) Secor.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 11, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8-9 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
