Arthur T. Larson
veteran of two wars
Arthur T. Larson, 83, passed away July 30, 2011 at home. He was the husband of the late Maureen (Guillemare) Larson.
Born in Lincoln, Neb., he was the son of the late William and May Larson. Arthur was a World War II and Vietnam War veteran; he served in the United States Army for 28 years and retired in 1969. He and Maureen were owners of Treasure Island, a collectables and antique shop, on Harkney Hill Road, Coventry. They enjoyed hiking and walking together.
After Maureen's death in 2007, Arthur moved from his Coventry home and resided at West Bay Assisted Living in Warwick prior to living with his daughter, Kathleen Reed.
He is survived by three children, Scott R. Larson of Peach Tree City, Ga., Kathleen Reed of Warwick and Rebecca M. Dickinson of Sterling, Conn.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
