On Wheaton dean’s list 

Three area residents have been honored with placement on the Dean’s List at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., for the fall 2014 semester. They are: Madison Borrelli, of Cranston (02910), a member of Wheaton’s Class of 2018, daughter of Gregory D’Andrea and Sondra Borrelli-Laxton; Amara Sardelli, of East Greenwich, a member of Wheaton’s Class of 2015, daughter of Louis Sardelli and Elizabeth Holstein; and Victoria Walker, of Warwick, a member of Wheaton’s Class of 2015, daughter of Daniel Walker and Claire Walker.

Warwick students earn WPI honors

The following Warwick residents were among 1,082 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall 2014 semester: Connor Bolton, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering; Ellen Pierce, a senior majoring in biology and biotechnology; Maddison Caron, a first-year student majoring in biomedical engineering; Nicole Luiz, a first-year student majoring in mechanical engineering; John Nunes, a senior majoring in chemical engineering; and Christopher Bianco, a first-year student majoring in interactive media and game development, and computer science.

Yates earns Emerson honors

Emerson College student Jamie Yates of Warwick has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester. Yates is majoring in Writing for Film and TV. The criterion to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Wheeler earns Clemson honors

Brent Wheeler Parker of Warwick, whose major is History, has been named to the Dean’s List at Clemson University for the fall 2014 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Additional RWU graduates

The following Warwick residents were among the more than 1,336 students from Roger Williams University to receive their degrees as part of the class of 2014. The students include a group of more than 300 students that received their degrees in August or December in 2014.

Warwick graduates are: Jean Trafford, who received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice; Ryan Furlong, who received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice; Steve Checrallah, who received a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration; and Jennifer Green, who received a Bachelor of General Studies in Social Science.

Anthony earns Ithaca College honors

Madeleine Anthony, a history major in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Ithaca College, was named to Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester.

Assumption honors

Recognizing outstanding student academic achievement, Assumption College has named more than 500 students to the undergraduate Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The following Warwick students were named to the fall 2014 Dean’s List: Ivana Andrews, Lauren Cranston, Geoffrey LaForce and Jacqueline LaForce.

Burke earns honors

Kathryn Burke has been named to the Siena College President’s List for the fall 2014 semester. Burke is a biology major from Warwick. The President’s List requires a 3.9 grade point average or higher.

UNH honor students

Warwick residents Molly Turner earned highest honors and Tiffany Legare earned high honors at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2014-2015 academic year.

Fitzgerald earns top honors

Meghan Fitzgerald of Warwick achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall 2014 semester, earning a spot on the Provost’s List at Hofstra University.
