URI honors

Zachary Armstrong, a student at the URI College of Pharmacy, has earned honors for the 2012 fall semester. Armstrong is a 2010 graduate of Hendricken High School.

Zachary Armstrong, a student at the URI College of Pharmacy, has earned honors for the 2012 fall semester. Armstrong is a 2010 graduate of Hendricken High School.

Patefield on Muhlenberg Dean’s List

Warwick resident James Patefield has been named to the Muhlenberg College Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester. Patefield, a member of the class of 2013, is an English and Theatre major. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Patefield and a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School.

Students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average (4.0-scale) to attain Dean’s List status.

Muhlenberg College is a liberal arts college in Allentown, Pa. that is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Residents named to Mount Ida College Dean’s List

The following Warwick residents were honored for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the Dean’s List for the 2012 fall semester at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass.: Rebecca Hamelin; Christopher Quinn; and Briana Tomaselli.

To make the Dean’s List, students must have a grade point average of 3.33 or above.

Neumann named to dean’s list at Merrimack College

Katherine Neumann, a resident of East Greenwich, was named to the fall 2012 Dean’s List at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. To be eligible, a student must achieve a 3.25 grade point average or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system. Katherine is a freshman in the School of Liberal Arts.

Malakorn earns honors at Skidmore College

Julian Malakorn, a member of the class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned term honors for the fall semester. He is the son of Javalit and Mary Malakorn of Warwick.

Term honors are awarded for a quality point ratio of 3.650 from a possible 4.0 for students who have completed 14 credit hours.
