Maioli named to UMass Lowell dean’s list
Warwick resident Heath Maioli, majoring in information technology, was named to the dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts Lowell for the spring 2013 semester.
To qualify for the dean’s list at UMass Lowell, a student must have completed no fewer than 12 graded credits for the semester and earned at least a 3.25 grade point average with no grade lower than C and without any incompletes.
White receives degree from American International College
Keith White of Warwick was among the nearly 1,100 students to receive a degree from American International College in Springfield, Mass. White, a Reading (MED) major, was awarded a Master of Education degree.
Hagerty graduates from Marquette University
James Hagerty of Warwick graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., during a ceremony held May 19, 2013 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Hagerty earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
Local students earn degree from University of New Haven
Warwick residents Hayley Grant and Shelby Pickering graduated from the University of New Haven in May 2013. Grant received a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics, and Pickering received a B.S. in Criminal Justice.
Local students named to Wake Forest dean’s list
Warwick residents Melissa Legault and Megan Mancosh were named to the spring 2013 Dean’s List at Wake Forest University. Students who achieve a 3.4 and no grade below a C were named to the list.
Area residents named to dean’s list at Fairfield University
The following Warwick residents have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester at Fairfield University: Molly Gregory, Robert Phillip, Allison Beattie and Justin Furtado.
To be selected for the Dean’s List, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.
Ferrara graduates from Elmira College
Rachel Ferrara of Warwick graduated from Elmira College during its 158th Commencement on June 2 at the First Arena in Elmira, N.Y. Ferrara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies.
Area residents named to Roger Williams Univ. dean’s list
The following Warwick residents have been named to the Roger Williams University Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester: Alix Beamon, majoring in Political Science; David Demers, majoring in Construction Management; Benjamin Korry, majoring in Marine Biology; Kara Moreau, majoring in Legal Studies; and Aaron Schrank, majoring in Math/Education.
Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester.
Osborne graduates from Gettysburg College
Taylor Osborne of Warwick graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gettysburg College on May 19, 2013. Osborne majored in Health Sciences and Anthropology.
Area students named to dean’s list at Univ. of New Haven
The following Warwick students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Haven for the spring 2013 semester: Katelyn Clark, Maria Dias, Benjamin Hodge, Shelby Pickering and Joshua Welshman.
Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the Dean’s List.
Belbey awarded prestigious international scholarship
Dan Belbey of Warwick was named a Fulbright Scholarship winner at the University of Rhode Island. The International Business Program major double majored in Global Business Management and German. The Fulbright will fund two of the three semesters he will need to earn a Masters of Arts in Business Administration and Logistics at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Belbey spent a semester at Hamburg University last year and fell in love with what is the business and logistics heart of Europe. After Hamburg, he spent a semester as an intern for BMW in Munich. Soon, communicating in German was as natural to him as conversing in English. Belbey is looking forward to his master’s courses, which will be taught in German, and is very interested in customs, international trade, and supply chain management. He’s already reached out to his bosses at BMW about a graduate trainee program there after he has earned his advanced degree.
Andrews attending University of Delaware
Ivana Andrews of Warwick joined the incoming class of Blue Hens during the University of Delaware’s New Student Orientation (NSO) program this summer, held June 18 through July 17.
