Four EG students accepted to Coastal Carolina
Four students from East Greenwich High School have been accepted to Coastal Carolina University for the Fall 2013 semester. The students are: Kathryn Caron; Jake Moss, who plans to major in recreation and sport management; Victoria Sheehan, who plans to major in marine science and Alexander White.
Coastal Carolina University is a liberal arts institution located in Conway, S.C., which is just minutes away from the popular resort area of Myrtle Beach.
Mattison Quinn earns honors
Mattison Quinn of East Greenwich has been named to the dean's list at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia for fall quarter 2012. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the Dean's List.
Parker enrolled at Clemson
Brent Wheeler Parker of Warwick recently enrolled at Clemson University. Parker is majoring in general engineering.
Parker is among nearly 3,400 freshmen at Clemson for the fall semester.
Barnes inducted into honor society
Alexander Michael Barnes, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2015, has been inducted into the Colgate chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national scholastic honorary society that recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students.
Barnes was among the 180 students who received the prestigious distinction for having earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the 2011-2012 academic year.
Currently a sophomore at Colgate, Barnes, is a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School.
Phi Eta Sigma was founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois. The Colgate chapter received its charter in 1982
