Zito earns honors at Clarkson
Christopher A. Zito, computer engineering major, was named to the Clarkson University dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester.
Malakorn in Skidmore honor society
Julian Malakorn of Warwick has been elected to membership in Skidmore College’s Alpha Zeta Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international economics honor society for academic achievement in economics. The society encourages advancement in the field. Malakorn is also a student athlete on the men’s hockey team and is majoring in economics and business.
2 URI students earn honors
The University of Rhode Island’s Black Scholar Awards program honored this year’s Rhode Island Onyx Senior Honor Society inductees, Malika Ali and Oumie Ceesay, both of Warwick. The program started in 1998 to recognize and honor African-American graduating seniors for their accomplishments at URI.
Earning WPI degrees
Four Warwick students received degrees in Worcester, Mass., on May 11 during the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s 145th commencement exercises. Katelyn Tolbert was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering with distinction. Nicholas DeMarinis was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering with distinction. John Russell was awarded a Master of Business administration degree. And Antonia La Bella was awarded a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
DiCicco earns Cornell degree
Alexander DiCicco from Warwick graduated from Cornell University Magna Cum Lade on May 26. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Civic Engagement.
5 receive honors at Western New England
Warwick students Andrew J. Carter, majoring in Electrical Engineering; Christopher M. Kundrat, majoring in Information Technology; Jason M. Byr, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; and Daniel R. Bacon, majoring in Pre-Pharmacy, were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at Western New England University. Also, Chad D. Bennett-Bonn, Mechanical Engineering major, has been named to the President’s List for the spring semester of 2013. A GPA of 3.8 is required for the President’s List and a GPA of 3.3 is required to make the Dean’s List.
