Audrey M. ”Audy” (Clukey) Byers, age 82, of Warwick, died on August 15, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late William G. Byers.

Born and raised in Dexter, Maine, a daughter of the late Daniel and Flora (Pullyard) Clukey, she lived in Warwick for 55 years. Mrs. Byers was employed as a waitress/hostess at the former Helm Restaurant in Warwick for 17 years.

She is survived by three daughters: Elizabeth A. “Beth” Craig of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pamela J. “Pam” DiLorenzo of Coventry, and Diane L. McCormick of Warwick; three brothers, Patrick A. Clukey of Warwick, Thomas L. Clukey of Warwick, and Hilary “Higgy” Clukey of Spring Hill, Florida; two sisters, Crystal A. Carney of Warwick and Rita B. Vigue of Saco, Maine; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Sinclair, Daniel, and Peter Clukey, Cecelia McCarthy, Athalie Bascom, Constance Wintle, and Eileen Mahoney.

Her funeral was held on Monday, August 19, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
