Aurore M. (St. Pierre) Turcotte, 86, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry, RI. Aurore was predeceased by her husband Richard J. Turcotte in 2012.

She was born in St. Anne, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Leon and Odele (Berube) St. Pierre. Mrs. Turcotte, as most in her generation, was focused on solely taking care of her family and home. Five generations later she was still the matriarch and cherished nothing more than being with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in West Warwick, needless to say as a French Roman Catholic, Catholicism was in her blood. She died peacefully and in the comfort of knowing she would be reunited with her husband Richard. Besides her faith and family, she had many interests. Needlework, gardening, playing: cards, the harmonica and bingo are to name just a few. No matter where or when, she had an illuminating smile waiting to be seen.

She is survived by five children: Noella Cassista of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; Claude J. "Frenchy" Turcotte (wife, Karen) of Prosperity, SC; Albert R. Turcotte (wife, Patricia) of Scituate, RI; Gaetane "Gae" Palazzo, (husband, Jack) of Warwick, RI and Delma Laroche (husband, David) of Richmond RI; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a brother Rosaire St. Pierre. She is predeceased by five siblings: Edmon St. Pierre, Rene St. Pierre, Lawrence St. Pierre, Rita Corbin and Leda Rousell.

A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on Friday, February 12 at 7:00 P.M. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
