Author of book about Station Nightclub at Feb. 16 signing

Barnes & Noble Warwick will host local Rhode Island author Marilyn Bellemore for a book signing for her book “The Night the Music Ended” Saturday, Feb. 16 from 12 to 2 p.m. at 1350 Bald Hill Rd, Warwick.

On Feb. 20, 2003, the Station Nightclub in West Warwick would bear witness to the fourth deadliest nightclub fire in American history. Bellemore's book “The Night the Music Ended” is presented in memory of that tragic night and its victims, but is also a look at the nightclub itself, its place in the community, the fire, and the aftermath. “The Night the Music Ended” focuses on the music and interviews with the very bands that attracted so many devoted fans to this popular club. Quiet Riot, The Dave Davies Band, Warrant, The Fixx and many more. This book is both a memorial to the events and a celebration of a community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Station Fire Memorial Foundation.
