Author to share tales of Rhode Island personalities

Join G. Wayne Miller, author of the new biography “An Uncommon Man: The Life and Times of Senator Claiborne Pell,” for a behind-the-scenes look at Rhode Island personalities and institutions at Warwick Public Library Thursday at 7 p.m.

Miller has written about many noteworthy residents of the Ocean State. He will share stories about Senator Pell, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, the family behind Hasbro, returning Afghanistan and Iraq war veterans, and members of Newport’s old money.

Miller is an award-winning author, Providence Journal staff writer and filmmaker. He lives and works in Warwick.
