Authors of book on Station nightclub fire speaking at library

Paul Lonardo, co-author with Gina Russo of “From the Ashes: Surviving the Station Nightclub Fire,” will talk about the fire at Warwick Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.

Gina Russo was pulled unconscious from The Station nightclub by an unknown rescuer and spent 11 weeks in a coma before beginning a years-long recovery. She will talk about her experience as a survivor, and how she and Lonardo participated in “The Station,” the documentary film series by local filmmaker David Bettencourt.

Paul Lonardo is co-author of “Life, with Cancer: The Lauren Terrazzano Story” and “Caught in the Act: A family’s Fight to Save Their Daughter from a Serial Killer,” and the author of “Strike IX.” He lives in Lincoln, R.I.
