Courthouse Center for the Arts presents the first Rhode Island production of “Avenue Q.”

Auditions are scheduled for Friday Jan. 20 at 7-10 p.m. at Courthouse Center of the Arts, 3481 Kingstown Rd., West Kingston, Saturday, Jan. 21 at Rhode Island College, Providence.

Actors are asked to prepare both an up-tempo song and a ballad not from “Avenue Q” and be prepared to sing these songs legit and in puppet character voices. A cold reading from the script is expected. There will not be a dance audition.

Call backs will be held Jan. 25 at the Courthouse Center of the Arts. Performances are Feb. 17-19, 23-26, March 1-4. Tickets are $15 - $25. An application will need to be filled out a headshot or recent photo is required.
