BJ’s Charitable Foundation is encouraging nonprofits located in Rhode Island to apply for grants as part of its quarterly giving cycle. Established with the mission to enrich every community BJ’s Wholesale Clubs serve, the Foundation supports organizations that primarily benefit the underprivileged in the areas of hunger prevention and education.
The application period for the current quarter ends on April 10. The grant proposal must be from an organization that is tax-exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and recognized as a “public charity” by the IRS. The program must align with BJ’s Charitable Foundation’s mission and positively impact communities near the locations of BJ’s Clubs.
In Rhode Island, BJ’s has locations in Coventry, Johnston and Middletown.
To determine eligibility, nonprofits are asked to visit www.bjs.com/charity.
