To the Editor:
Long ago I gave up calling my political representatives when important issues came before the General Assembly. But I did call Representative Raymond Hull (District #6 Providence), who is not my representative, and congratulated him for not running with the lemmings on the Road Toll Bill. Hull, a principled man, told me he was kicked off his committee because of his vote.
I told him to wear his punishment as a “badge of honor.” Clearly, he and a great number of critically thinking people know this is destructive legislation that will impact not only the trucking industry but also the business community and all Rhode Islanders in a negative way.
