Barbara J. (Elliott) Sinesi, 84 of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 16, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Deacon Rugiero “Jerry” Sinesi to whom she was married to for over 55 years.

Barbara was born and raised in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Grayson) Elliott. Barbara and Jerry built a home at 44 Crocus Street, Warwick to raise their family. Barbara waitressed for many years, her employers included The Red Rooster Tavern, The Helm Restaurant, Dunes Club, and The Portico Restaurant. She worked as a control specialist at Electro-Films of Warwick for 17 years. Barabra was a Eucharistic Minister at Christ the King Church. She loved bird watching, gardening, watching each years first snow fall. Barbara hosted many home parties, entertaining friends and family with elaborate cakes she bakes and decorated herself. She was an avid knitter and has made beautiful hats, scarves, sweaters, and baby outfits for her children and grandchildren. She was a passionate Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins fan. You knew you were special if you received one of Barbara's handmade personalized cards over the years.

Barbara is survived by her five daughters and a son: Cheryl Knutton and her husband, Charles of Warwick, Dona Paull and her fiancé, Mark Garcia of Arizona, Regina Orenstein and her husband, Scott of Connecticut, Michael Sinesi and his wife, Ally of New Jersey, Andrea Rousselle and her husband, Geoffrey of West Warwick, and her youngest daughter Karen with whom she lived with for 19 years. In addition to her children, Barbara is survived by nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Paul Elliott, Sr. of Florida and the late Charles Elliott, Kenneth Elliott, Sr. and Mary Langlois.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick.
