Barbara S. Gauthier, 77, passed away July 12, 2013 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis G. Gauthier and is survived by her companion, Nelson Amendola.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Lillian (Medeiros) Chartier. Mrs. Gauthier was formerly employed as a clothing clerk for the Salvation Army. She is survived by five children, Debra Keating, Joann Gauthier, Carolyn Dwyer, Louis J. Gauthier and Kathleen Gauthier; one brother, Richard Chartier, two sisters, Marilyn Pelland and Maureen Gardner; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Harold Chartier, Dorothy Rowan and Marlene Chartier.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave. at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
