Barnes' 50s day supports food drive

The 50th day of school was quite a celebration for students at Sarah Dyer Barnes Elementary School. They were given the opportunity to dress in clothing reminiscent of the 1950s. The hallways and classrooms were filled with students sporting poodle skirts with crew neck cardigans, and jeans with white t-shirts and sunglasses. The class that brought in the most food items was allocated 50 extra minutes of special activities on a later date. The food drive is just one of the good deeds that the school participates in throughout the school year as a Feinstein Junior Scholar school.
