Starting next week, the Batastini School of Basketball will hold its second-annual February Fast Break Basketball Camp for boys and girls grades K-8.
The camp will be located at East Greenwich High School and will run from Monday, Feb. 17-19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Cost per player is $125 with a $25 sibling discount. Campers can also attend per day with a rate of $35/day.
The camp is run by former All-Americans and professional players Christina Batastini (Stanford Final 4, Pro Europe), Kyle Ivy-Jones (URI, NBA), Chelsea Marandola (Providence College, Pro Europe) and Kevin Payette (University of Wyoming, RIC).
The camp focuses on the development of all-around skills with unique teaching stations for offense, defense and rebounding. Players grouped by age and talent will work on shooting fundamentals, position-work specific to guards, forwards and posts and play 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. Each camper also receives a t-shirt.
Campers can sign up and pay by credit card online at http://www.batschoolofbasketball.com/signup-winter.asp or download the camp brochure at http://www.batschoolofbasketball.com/2014 BSB February Camp.pdf and pay with a check. Sign-ups are open until Friday, Feb. 14. Players can walk-in and sign up any day.
