Beliveau to oversee CCAP marketing, corporate outreach

Lee Beliveau of Warwick has been named Vice President of Development and Corporate Affairs of Comprehensive Community Action Program (CCAP). Beliveau will oversee the organization’s fundraising, marketing, community and corporate outreach activities.

“As we continue to develop new and innovated approaches to meeting the needs of the people we serve in the community, Lee’s  background and depth of experience in philanthropy, marketing and the community will allow us to build a comprehensive strategic communications program that will further our mission and enhance our programs,” said Joanne McGunagle, president and chief operation officer. “We are delighted that Lee has joined our Leadership Team,” McGunagle concluded.

Beliveau is an award winning marketing, communications and philanthropy professional with more than 25 years of experience in the public, private and non-profit sector having worked in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Rhode Island.  He serves on the Board of Directors of WaterFire Providence, Opportunities Unlimited and is member of Warwick Rotary, The University Club of Providence and is a Rhode Island Commodore.  

CCAP is the second largest community action program in Rhode Island providing Family Medicine & Dental Care; Behavior Health Services & Substance Abuse Counseling; Social Services, WIC Nutrition Program, Food Bank, Home Heating & Energy Assistance, GED & Financial Literacy, Head Start & Child Care with programs in 13 communities statewide. Last year, we touched the lives of more than 21,500 Rhode Islanders.

This year CCAP will celebrate 50 Years of “Lending a Helping Hand to Those in Need.” CCAP is a Cranston-based private non-profit community action agency that was formed as part of our nation’s War on Poverty under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964.
