Donations of cash, gift cards, clothing and household items poured in at a public skating session Sunday for the benefit of the Westgate Condominium fire victims at Thayer Arena. Organized by the city administration, the donations will go to Westbay Community Action that, in turn, will determine the means of distribution. A total of 134 took to the ice and $1,023 was raised. Among those attending were Mayor Scott Avedisian, City Council President Donna Travis and council members Camille Vella-Wilkinson, Kathleen Usler and Ed Ladouceur. Displaying a cash donation is Kerri Lyn Francis, who manned the donation table.
