Benjamin M. Fowler, 26, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at home.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Edward G. and Suzanne J. (McGovern) Fowler. Ben was a graduate of Tollgate High School, Class of 2007 and attended Unity College. A free spirit, he was an avid bird watcher, loved hunting, playing with his dog, Moose, singing and playing the piano and trumpet, helping his neighbors, going to Maine, and making people smile with his funny sense of humor and charismatic personality. He dreamed of being a master gardener and worked as a landscaper and handyman. He worked for Classic Seal Coat, the Next to New Consignment and Bedrossian Music.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Melissa J. Castan, her husband, Daniel, their child due in November and Catherine E. Fowler; grandmother, Arline D. Fowler; aunts and uncles, Jeffrey McGovern, Priscilla Drummond, David and Paula Fowler, Patricia and Glenn Violette, Shirley and Richard St. Peter, Beverly and Herb Salisbury; many cousins; and girlfriend, Brenda Osborne. He was the grandson of the late Erlon E. Fowler and Charles J. and Norma J. McGovern.

His funeral will be held Thursday, October 1, at 8 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, Fair Street at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8 p.m.
