Bernard R. Rinn, Sr., age 81, of Harborview Drive, Warwick, and formerly of Hilton Road, Warwick, died on April 7, 2014, at home. He was the husband of the late Gloria M. (Bartlett) Rinn.

Born in Providence, a son of the late James B. and Zylpha M. (Smith) Rinn, he was a life-long Warwick resident. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. A 62 year member of Carpenters Local # 94, Mr. Rinn was employed by H. Carr & Sons in Providence for 22 years before retiring in 1988. He was a founding member of St. Kevin Parish in Warwick, and a member of Warwick Council # 2295 Knights of Columbus.

He was the cherished father of Bernard R. Rinn, Jr., Michael K. Rinn, Kevin J. Rinn, and John D. Rinn, all of Warwick, and the late Kathleen K. Lampinski; and the brother of the late James B. Rinn, Jr., Edward J. Rinn, Vivian Roy, Barbara Parker, and Mary Brown. He is survived by fifteen grandchildren: Michael Jr., Lindsay, Jonathan, Stephanie, Kristine, Jacqueline, Amanda, Kevin Jr., Kimberly, John Jr., Jacob, Gianna, Robbie, Derek, and Andrew; and a great-grandchild, Emma. He was the special uncle of Cheryl Adams and George Parker, Jr.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 10, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick.
