Bernice B. (McCurdy) Bailey, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at home.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Everett J. and Adrienne B. (Gray) McCurdy. Bernice was a strong, independent woman who was both nurturer and provider for her two daughters. She was also a wonderful, loving grandmother to her five grandchildren, whom she thought the world of. She enjoyed bowling, Saturday mornings, scratch tickets and coffee with her dear friend, Judy, Sunday lunches with her siblings. She always put family first and made an impact on everyone she met. Bernice was the beloved mother of Susan B. Davis (Michael), and Laurie S. Smith (Christopher); loving grandmother of Michael, Raymond, Catie, Samantha and Paige; adored sister of Frank A. McCurdy (Dorothy), Veria S. Metivier (Charles) and Susan B. Cunha (Thomas). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
