Bertha R. (Brown) Taft, 92, passed away, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Brentwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Taft and a daughter of the late Frank and Mattie (Taylor) Brown.
Mrs. Taft is survived by two sons, Steven E. Taft of Marietta, Georgia and James R. Taft, Sr. of Warwick; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Marjorie Rymel, Lillian Lamoureux, and Frank Brown, Jr.
Visiting hours Thursday, June 5, from 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery will be private.
