As part of its community outreach and support of education, AT&T regional office in Boston recently made a $5,000 donation to the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon. The funds will be used to support the statewide competition open to all of the state’s high schools, which has been run for the past 31 years. Winner of this year’s decathlon was the team from Bishop Hendricken High School. The 2015 competition will be held March 8 at the Knight Campus of CCRI. Pictured, from left, are John Howell, president of the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon; Brooke M. Thomson, regional vice president of external affairs for AT&T; and Warwick Dist. 29 Senator Michael McCaffrey. McCaffrey is a member of the decathlon foundation.
