Cancer survivor Brandon Lavender held his fifth yard sale for the benefit of The Tomorrow Fund Saturday and Sunday at the Sweet Z’s parking lot on Conimicut. Turning out for the event was the Colors for a Cause gold fire truck. The truck is the icon of the Rhode Island non-profit headed by Ray Dussault that provides assistance to families with children who have cancer. Brandon, who successfully battled leukemia as a child, started the annual yard sales as a means of raising funds for The Tomorrow Fund that also helps families whose children are battling cancer. The sale raised more than $1,600.
