Boost for animal shelter
(submitted photo)

During the month of February, Wave employees, members and friends contributed more than $1,000 in cash and donated items to benefit the West Warwick Animal Shelter. The shelter was severely damaged during last year’s flooding and work is ongoing to provide a safe environment for displaced pets. Once the paper towels, bleach, Purina Cat Chow, kitty litter, Pedigree dry dog food, canned dog food, Friskies, mop heads, rawhide bones and cat toys were assembled, shelter volunteers, accompanied by Channelle, arrived to cart the items away. Channelle is a 6-month-old pit bull/boxer in need of a home. Judging by the response of Wave employees to Channelle’s visit, Channelle won’t be homeless for long.
