Boosting tuition aid
Warwick Beacon

The Division 1 Chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, an Irish-Catholic fraternal organization founded in 1936 with the motto of “Friendship, Unity & Christian Charity,” recently donated $1,000 to each of Warwick’s parochial schools to offset tuition costs. The group has donated more than $30,000 in educational scholarships to parochial schools statewide since being formed eight years ago. The 64-member group that meets monthly raises most of the money with its annual Peter J. Sullivan Memorial Golf Tournament. On Friday, the Hibernians made a $1,000 presentation to the St. Peter School.
