The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick’s annual dinner-dance, auction and $10,000 cash raffle is planned for Saturday, April 13 at the Warwick Country Club. The event, which is the club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, helps to pay for the daily operation of the two Warwick clubs. 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick serves more than 1,100 boys and girls at a cost of $800,000 per year. Annual membership dues of $30 cover less than $20,000 of the Club’s costs. Due to the organization’s mission of providing a safe, supervised, fun place for kids to go after school – no child is turned away due to an inability to pay. Through superior programming, kids are able to develop the qualities they need to become responsible members of the community.

This year’s event will be a luau themed event, and guests are encouraged to wear their grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts and enjoy all the great decorations made by our members. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a preview of the items. Dinner, silent and live auctions, and the $10,000 raffle to begin at 7. Tickets can be purchased for $175, which admits two to the event and one chance in the $10,000 raffle or for $100, which is a $10,000 “raffle only” ticket. Odds for the cash prizes are 1 in 300. 

Raffle items are donated by various companies, and include packages ranging from family fun packs to sporting event tickets. There’ll be a live band, dancing and a sumptuous menu.
