Bradford E. Plante, 72, of Cole Farm Road, passed away March 17, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Bradford H. and Dorothy L. (Malcolm) Plante. Bradford was employed as a security guard for many years before retiring. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, sportsman and reader. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the Rhode Island Army National Guard for four years.
He is survived by one daughter, Pamela Young; one grandson, Matthew Young; four sisters, Margaiel Johnson, Christine Lanoue, Allison Plante and April Plante, one brother, William Plante; and nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial with military honors will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Information and condolences, visit TheQuinnFuneralHome.com.
