Project Undercover is excited to be working with the Deion Branch Charitable Foundation this holiday season to raise awareness of issues facing children living in poverty.
“We’re ecstatic ,” said Executive Director Abby McQuade. “Deion and Shola Branch have an outstanding history of working with the community to help improve the lives of children living in need.”
On November 29, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Branch and several receivers from the New England Patriots will be autographing fans’ collectibles, photos and other memorabilia at the Biggest Sock, in the East Rotunda of the Rhode Island Convention Center. For a minimum donation of $25 per autographed item to Project Undercover, fans can meet the players, and have their favorite piece of Patriots gear signed.
Pre-registration at projectundercover.org is encouraged.
“Working with the Deion Branch Foundation will help us to bring our message of the unknown impacts of childhood poverty to an even larger audience,” said McQuade. “We know that the Patriots visiting Providence is a rare occurrence, and we’re honored that Mr. Branch and the Patriots receivers are coming down from Foxboro to help us with our Biggest Sock campaign this holiday season.”
Project Undercover is a 501(c) 3 organization that raises funds and awareness to provide new diapers, underwear and socks for children living in poverty in Rhode Island. Over 40,000 children live under the Federal Poverty level in Rhode Island, and diapers, socks and underwear are a luxury for many. Since these items cannot be handed down like other articles of clothing and they are not covered by safety net programs such as food stamps or WIC, undergarments remain on the top of many families’ most wanted list of items.
