John D. Coppa, of West Warwick, has been appointed assistant vice president, branch manager for Washington Trust’s Governor Francis branch in Warwick. Coppa will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the branch, developing and motivating his staff and growing the branch’s deposit base and loan portfolio. Before joining Washington Trust in late 2014, Coppa worked in retail banking for Citizens Bank from 2000 to 2014. Coppa is a member of the Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce as well as a mentor for the Feinstein Mentoring program. He holds associate degrees in business and in general education from the Community College of Rhode Island.
