Breaking and entering suspect found

Warwick detectives said they arrested a suspect in a string of housebreaks in the state on Dec. 27. Detectives arrested George Bouffard, 56, of 49 Sumner St., Pawtucket, in Cumberland.

According to a press release from Operations Bureau Commander, Major Raymond Gallucci of the Warwick Police, detectives investigated a residential break at 91 Falcon Ave. on Dec. 12. The investigation revealed a neighbor’s home surveillance system captured an image of a vehicle possibly involved in the break and identified the vehicle. During an undercover surveillance, the vehicle was tracked to locations where residential breaks and to an area pawnshop.

Police said Bouffard was feeding a drug habit with the proceeds of the breaks. Police would like to speak with anyone who has more information about the breaks and call Warwick’s Detective Division at 468-4233.
