Recently students from Timothy Hayes’ Urban Sociology class at Toll Gate High School met with Mayor Scott Avedisian to discuss their community service project. They are working with the Warwick Commission on Historical Cemeteries cleaning and improving several cemeteries throughout Warwick. They have been working with the Commission and the Public Archeology Lab (PAL) in Cemetery #52 on Eton Avenue. The Commission received a Community Development Block Grant to hire PAL to determine the location and direction of bodies placed in this cemetery and to find additional cemetery stones buried in this cemetery.
