It is early on a rainy weekday morning, but there is already a lot of activity at Brock’s Collision Center in Apponaug. Each bay is filled with a vehicle in various stages of completion, and the place is buzzing with the sounds of drills and machinery. Working amongst the team here is technician and lifelong lover of cars, Mike Thoin. Mike joined the ranks of talented professionals here at Brock’s nearly eight years ago, and has taken his true passion for cars to a whole new level at this busy auto body and repair shop on Post Road.
Mike Thoin has been tinkering with cars since he was a boy growing up in New Hampshire. Thoin shares his passion and keen knowledge of cars with his father who comes to Rhode Island often from New Hampshire on weekends, just to work alongside his son. It is a special tie that binds them, and a mutual language they speak – especially when they get talking about BMWs – a model of car that has captivated them both for decades. Thoin and his dad have owned and serviced BMWs their whole lives, especially E30 and E36 body types. Mike lights up when he talks about his newest project, a bright red, 1990 BMW 325is which he is in the process of restoring with the touch of an artist – no detail has been overlooked, it is a masterpiece.
Mike Thoin’s passion for BMWs, the “ultimate driving machines”, is something he brings with him to every vehicle he works on here at Brock’s Collision Center, and is the very thing that caught owner Anthony Broccoli’s eye seven years ago. Mike and his fellow technicians are hard working perfectionists and car enthusiasts. Their singular goal is to return your prized vehicle to you with the same professionalism, attention to detail and perfectionism that they devote to their own cars. You can depend on the same kind of quality workmanship at Brock’s that you would do yourself – if you had the time, experience and expertise of this team of devoted mechanics.
Brock’s Collision Center is a comprehensive, one-stop shop that is known for its fine work, efficiency, affordable pricing and integrity. It offers a full range of services for all automobile makes and models. In addition to their exterior body work, they also do major and minor repairs of all kinds – from simple tune-ups and oil changes to more complicated, computer diagnosed repairs.
As a small business owner, Anthony Broccoli is especially mindful of the need to protect his valued customers’ privacy. It is his commitment to discard all personal information except a customer’s name and phone number; everything else is securely disposed of.
