Bruce A. Waterman, 74, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Morgan Health Center. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (McLaughlin) Waterman. They were married for 46 years.

Born in Gowanda, New York, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Ruby (Jimerson) Waterman and a proud member of the Seneca Nation of Indians. Bruce served his country by serving ten years in the United States Navy. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved his family dearly and they loved him. He was a thirty year member of Local 37 Ironworkers and the proud owner and operator for nearly eighteen years of Iroquois Steel Erection, Inc.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Jason A. and Daniel A. Waterman and Mary E. Waterman, all of Warwick; two brothers, Carson Waterman, of Salamanca, NY and Gary Schindler, of Irving, NY; and four grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Sean and Alexander. He was also the father of the late David A. Waterman and was predeceased by his three sisters, Connie, Kathleen and Gloria.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. Interment with military honors will be on Thursday, March 10, 2016, in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends who wish to attend Bruce’s interment are invited to join his family at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m., where a funeral cortege will assemble and proceed to the cemetery.
