David and Irene Assinaro are joined by Kim Kalunian, who is featured in a photograph with their dog Buddy, at Friday’s Animal Prints at Crestar Picture Framing in East Greenwich. As a reporter for the Warwick Beacon, Kalunian’s story about Buddy who is blind led to its adoption by the Assinaros. Kalunian conceived of Animal Prints last year as a fundraiser for the East Greenwich Animal Protection League. She pairs photographers who volunteer their services with local celebrities in poses with dogs and cats the league has for adoption. The prints, which have been framed as a contribution by Crestar, are then auctioned off during an evening wine and music at the studio.
