Family Threads
130 Years of textiles from Abigail Allen's 1790s bed sheet to Anne Crawford Allen's 1926 coming out dress will be presented by Clouds Hill Victorian House Museum, 4157 Post Rd., by appointment through Nov. 5. The glitter of gold, opera cloaks, evening dresses and accessories, fancy work, lace collection, flat pieces etc.

Fundraisers in Memory of Bella and Elanna
On Nov. 10 there will be a Powderpuff Football Game organized by a Warwick Vets student as a senior project. On Nov. 4 a memorial pasta dinner fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. in the Pilgrim High School cafeteria sponsored by the soccer team. Tickets are $15 each or a Family Four Pack for $40. Toastmasters

Garden Club
The Chatham Village Garden Club will meet Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the EBC House. A business meeting will follow a program entitled "Lovely Begonias" presented by Pricilla Purinton, president and founder of the Begonia Society. They will also be celebrating its 60th birthday.

United Fly Tyers
The United Fly Tyers of Rhode Island (UFTRI) will hold its monthly membership meeting Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 475 Sandy Lane. The primary purpose of UFTRI is to preserve, promote and develop the art of fly tying and dressing with a focus on flyfishing in both fresh and salt water. Gaspee Seniors
The Gaspee Seniors will meet Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. at Woodbury Union Presbyterian Church in Conimicut for a memorial service for deceased members followed by a Dutch treat luncheon.

Meadowlark Seniors
The Meadowlark Seniors will meet Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Kevin’s Hall. A penny social for cleaning supplies will be held. Bakers are Mary Gentile, Loretta Evans, Gloria Greco and Lucille Garrity.

Pasta Dinner & Raffle
The 7th Annual Pasta Dinner & Raffle to Help Homeless Cats and Dogs will be held by the Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter Nov. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Ave. Enjoy home-cooked pasta, fresh salad, meatballs, Italian bread, dessert and more. Take a chance on great raffle prizes. Tickets are $7 each and $3 for children under 6. All proceeds will benefit the homeless cats and dogs waiting for adoption at the Warwick Animal Shelter.

One Stop Holiday Shopping
Join Tami Ward and Sandy Fraser as they host their first semi-annual One Stop Shop event. The event is designed to raise money for a non-profit organization. This year it will be for The Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless. The event will be held Nov. 6 from 12-5 p.m. Featuring more than 40 crafters and direct sales vendors selling items for your holiday needs.

Brayton Cemetery Cleanup
The Warwick Commission on Historical Cemeteries and the Apponaug Area Improvement Association are teaming up to hold the fall cleanup of Brayton Cemetery on Post Rd. in Apponaug Nov. 5 and 6 from 8:30 a.m.-12 noon. If you are looking for something to do on a nice day, would like to help with some raking or otherwise spruce up one of the largest historic cemeteries in Warwick, need community service for school, church or the legal system, this is your chance to shine. Variety Show
The Trudeau Memorial Center welcomes back Bill Burke in The Variety Show on Nov. 7 at 1:45 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Patterson Building. For over 18 years, Bill has been singing and acting professionally throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Crafters Wanted
Calling all crafters, vendors and artisans! On Nov. 18 the John Brown Francis School PTA will be hosting a "Shopping Spectacular" and are looking for vendors, crafters, artisans and more. The event will be held from 5-9 p.m. in the gym at JBF with set-up beginning at 3 p.m. Rental space is $35 and all money raised will benefit the students of John Brown Francis School. Cornerstone Church

Old Warwick Grange #41
The Grange is a fraternal community service, non-profit organization with a special interest in rural life and the traditions of faith, patriotism, leadership and family values. Grange-where the whole family can go and grow. Help them to help others. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. No meetings in July or August. The Grange hall is located at 1175 West Shore Rd.

Developmental Screening
The Child Outreach Department of the Warwick Public Schools, in cooperation with the Volunteers of Warwick schools (VOWS), conducts regular preschool screening clinics. All Warwick preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 are offered the Early Screening Inventory-Revised (ESI-R). This is a free service provided by the Warwick Public Schools. Participation in a Developmental Screening is a long established program of the Warwick School Department that provides families with information about their child's development and offers information about community resources. Free Sunday Lunch
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 389 Greenwich Ave., is offering a free lunch for anyone in need of a meal or companionship. All are welcome every Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information call 737-6758.

Rhode Island Pet Bird Club

There will be Bingo at Sparrows Point III, 355 Hardig Rd., every Wednesday starting April 6. Doors open at 4 p.m., bingo starts promptly at 6 p.m.

Photographic Society of RI

There will be bingo every Friday at 6:45 p.m. at Meadowbrook Terrace on Warwick Ave. in the Community Hall.

Donate Shop
The Donate Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift store that provides free clothing to families in crisis. They are an all volunteer organization that relies solely on the support of the community to continue this endeavor. The shop has a new location at 400 Warwick Ave., Unit #14, between Dunkin Donuts and Shaw's. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The phone number is 533-9944, the website is www.thedonateshop.org and “Like” them on Facebook for special updates.

Gambling Counseling Offered

Domestic Violence Volunteers
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center (EBCC) is currently seeking volunteers for their Speakers Bureau. All volunteers will be trained to provide outreach, as a representative of EBCC, to communities in their service area through attendance at health and community fairs and by fulfilling requests for informational speaking engagements. Volunteers will receive thorough and specialized training under the supervision of the agency services coordinator before beginning this work. Fife and Drum Corps
The Kentish Guards Fife and Drum Corps rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at the Kentish Guards Armory on Pierce St. in East Greenwich. Free lessons on playing the fife are provided to men and young men interested in joining the corps.

Fife & Drum Corps
Join the Pawtuxet Rangers Fife & Drum Corps of Warwick and continue the great tradition of Colonial/Revolutionary history through music. The Fife & Drum Corps meets every Wednesday night at Wyman Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The corps is open to anyone over the age of 12. Drum and fife instruction is available to beginners.
