Tri City Elks
On March 9 Tri City will present Roger Ceresi's Allstars "On the Right Track.” Tickets are $12 per person. For advance tickets call 737-9510.
On March 10, join them for their annual St. Patrick's dinner, music by DJ Jim Fleet from 6:30-10 p.m. Corned beef and cabbage dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and are available at the lounge after 3 p.m. There will be $25 gift certificate awarded with the best Irish attire.
On Monday nights they have country line dancing from 7-8:30 p.m. $5 per person.
Also on Mondays Cook Your Own Steak for $10. You get a sirloin steak that you cook yourself and a baked potato with green beans.

Lend A Hand Benefit Dinner
The Lend A Hand Therapeutic Riding Foundation will host its 5th Annual benefit dinner at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston on March 3. Entertainment will be solo artist Tony Cerbo performing in the style of Michael Buble and vocal and sax by Matt B Entertainment. Cocktails, dinner, silent auction, raffles and door prize. Welcome Spring Craft Fair
First Congregational Church, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., is having a Welcome to Spring craft fair March 31 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tables will include bakers dream, everything baskets, the book store, white elephant, garden center, beauty shop, jewelry shop, clothing store, and a children's craft table with items made by the children of the church. There are also a few tables available to rent for $25. Call 738-3377 and leave a message and someone will return the call ASAP.

Scholarship Fund
The Rhode Island Building Industry Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for their scholarship fund. The purpose of the fund is to aid Rhode Island residents who require financial assistance in the pursuit of education in the construction or building industry fields. Any Rhode Island resident who is unable to provide full payment of tuition or other costs for courses related to construction or building industry is eligible. To receive a copy of the application, contact Maureen Myette at 333-3192 or email mjmyette@cox.net. Deadline for accepting applications is March 1.

Shields Post St. Patricks Day Party
William Shields Jr. Post #43 American Legion 662 West Shore Rd. Will have aSt. Patrick's Day Party
on March 17 from 7 a.m.-12 noon. A corned beef dinner will be served with music and dancing by a DJ. $25 per couple, $15 for a single. $100 prize for the best-dressed Irish themed person. See bartender for tickets.

Meat Raffle
Shields Post will have a weekly meat raffle every Saturday night except St. Patrick’s Day. Ticket sales start at 6:30 p.m. There will be four tables of product displayed with separate drawings for each table (colored tickets). As each winning ticket is drawn, that person will have their choice of any item available on that table. They will continue pulling tickets until the items on that table are all gone. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Open to the public, bring friends and relatives. This raffle is sponsored by the S.A.L. & the Auxiliary.
Fish & Chips will available at Shields Post 43 on all Lenten Fridays through April 6 from 4-7 p.m. $6.95. All proceeds benefit Girls State/Boys State.

GFWC Warwick Women's Club

Meadowbrook Seniors

World Day of Prayer
World Day of Prayers, a prayer movement initiated by Christian women of many traditions in more than 170 countries and regions, will be observed at Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian on March 2. The sanctuary will be open from 1-7 p.m. to anyone who wishes to spend time in quiet contemplation and prayer. The church is located on the corner of Beach Ave. and West Shore Rd. in Conimicut Village.

Battleship Ball

Irish Music Festival
It's not too early to kick off your St. Patrick's Day festivities by attending the 2nd Annual Irish Music festival at Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Ave., on March 4 from 1-5 p.m. Featuring performance by Pendragon, The Tom Lannigan Band, the Damsha Irish stepdancing School, Mary-Ellen Casey, and the Bishop Hendricken Hawks Marching Band with a special appearance by bagpiper Tim Deeley. There will be traditional Irish food and drink available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Drama Program in their travels to Edinborough, Scotland to represent Bishop Hendricken High School in the Fringe Festival, the largest festival in the world.

Daughters of Isabella
The Daughters of Isabella St. Benedict's Circle will meet on March 5 at 7 p.m. in the meeting room in St. Benedict's School. All current members and guest welcome. A guest speaker from the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center will speak.

Garden Club
The Chatham Village Garden Club will meet on March 6 at 7 p.m. at the EBC House. They will be celebrating the club's 60th birthday with a special Trip Down Memory Lane. The honoree for the evening will be Dot Shannahan, the founder of the club.

Buckeye Brook Coalition Meeting
The Buckeye Brook Coalition will hold its annual meeting March 6 from 7-8:45 p.m. at the Warwick Public Library Room 100. Following the meeting there will be a lecture presented by Ray Hartenstine on freshwater mussels and water quality of Warwick Pond. The meeting is open to the public and members are encouraged to attend.

Mary King
Mary King in an Irish Solo Show at the Patterson Bldg. cafeteria on Feb. 28 at 1:45p.m. Mary's divers musical talents include harp, fiddle, percussion and vocals.

Cornerstone Church

Old Warwick Grange #41
The Grange is a fraternal community service, non-profit organization with a special interest in rural life and the traditions of faith, patriotism, leadership and family values. Grange-where the whole family can go and grow. Help them to help others. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. No meetings in July or August. Developmental Screening
The Child Outreach Department of the Warwick Public Schools, in cooperation with the Volunteers of Warwick schools (VOWS), conducts regular preschool screening clinics. All Warwick preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 are offered the Early Screening Inventory-Revised (ESI-R). This is a free service provided by the Warwick Public Schools. Participation in a Developmental Screening is a long established program of the Warwick School Department that provides families with information about their child's development and offers information about community resources. Free Sunday Lunch
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 389 Greenwich Ave., is offering a free lunch for anyone in need of a meal or companionship. All are welcome every Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information call 737-6758.

Rhode Island Pet Bird Club

Donate Shop
The Donate Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift store that provides free clothing to families in crisis. They are an all-volunteer organization that relies solely on the support of the community to continue this endeavor. The shop has a new location at 400 Warwick Ave., Unit #14, between Dunkin Donuts and Shaw's. Gambling Counseling Offered

Domestic Violence Volunteers
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center (EBCC) is currently seeking volunteers for their Speakers Bureau. All volunteers will be trained to provide outreach, as a representative of EBCC, to communities in their service area through attendance at health and community fairs and by fulfilling requests for informational speaking engagements. Volunteers will receive thorough and specialized training under the supervision of the agency services coordinator before beginning this work. Fife and Drum Corps
The Kentish Guards Fife and Drum Corps rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at the Kentish Guards Armory on Pierce St. in East Greenwich. Free lessons on playing the fife are provided to men and young men interested in joining the corps.

Fife & Drum Corps
Join the Pawtuxet Rangers Fife & Drum Corps of Warwick and continue the great tradition of Colonial/Revolutionary history through music. The Fife & Drum Corps meets every Wednesday night at Wyman Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The corps is open to anyone over the age of 12. Drum and fife instruction is available to beginners.
