Norwood Neighborhood
The Norwood Neighborhood Association will meet on May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Norwood Boys & Girls Club, 43 Frederick St. Bruce Place, Warwick City Council President, will provide and update on Warwick and Norwood topics of interest. Refreshments will be served; all are welcome.

Central RI Chamber of Commerce
Wave Credit Union, 480 Greenwich Ave., will be hosting the Central RI Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours May 16 from 4:40-7:30 p.m. $10 for members, $25 for non-members. The Chamber will bring you an evening of networking in a relaxed setting. Ideal for meeting fellow professionals, suppliers, community leaders and clients while you establish long-lasting business relationships. The hosts will treat you to an array of hors d'oeuvres while you sip a glass of fine wine, beer, soda or water.

Meadowlark Seniors
The Meadowlark Seniors will meet May 17 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Kevin's Hall. There will be a pokeno game following the meeting. Bakers are Denise Gagnon, Lucille Garrity and Mary Gentile.

Central RI Chamber
The Central RI Chamber of Commerce will have a Leads, Lunch & Networking event May 18 from 12-1:30 p.m., hosted by Kent Hospital, 455 Toll Gate Rd. in the Doctors Auditorium. $10 for members, $25 for non-members. You don't need a lead, just enjoy lunch while getting acquainted with other members of the business community. Share your 60-second commercial and help others to better understand what you do and who you need to meet. This is a great event to easily connect with a larger number of potential customers. Bring your business cards, flyers and brochures.

Swinging Squares Dance

The VFW Post 183 Ladies Auxilary will have a ’50 s Dance at the post home, 170 Washington St., May 19 from 7 p.m.-12 midnight. Music by Steve the DJ. 50/50 raffle, door prizes. Admission is $10 per person.

Historical Society Open House
The Warwick Historical Society will have its annual open house May 20 from 1-4 p.m. at the John Waterman Arnold House, 25 Roger Williams Circle. Tour the 1785 home on the National Register, relive life in an 1800s farmhouse and view ephemera from Rocky Point. Books and reprints on local history available for sale. Bingo
The Friends of the Warwick Senior Centers, Inc. will have a Sunday Bingo May 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Pilgrim Senior Enrichment Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway.

Westbay Marketplace
The Westbay Marketplace, 211 Buttonwoods Ave., will maintain operating hours of Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. All residents of Kent County are encouraged to apply for food assistance if needed. The Marketplace will participate in the Feinstein Annual $100,000,000 Giveaway to Fight Hunger Food Drive and Fundraising Program. The Feinstein Foundation, the philanthropic organization started by Alan Shawn Feinstein, will add further proportional contribution to any monetary or canned food donation to the Westbay CAP Marketplace received during the months of March and April. The wish list includes boxed-shelf storable liquid milk, canned spinach, mashed potato mix, beef stew, hardy soups, fruit juices (especially children's size) or a $5 donation to the Marketplace for operational expenses. Cornerstone Church

Old Warwick Grange #41
The Grange is a fraternal community service, non-profit organization with a special interest in rural life and the traditions of faith, patriotism, leadership and family values. Grange-where the whole family can go and grow. Help them to help others. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. No meetings in July or August. The Grange hall is located at 1175 West Shore Rd.

Developmental Screening
The Child Outreach Department of the Warwick Public Schools, in cooperation with the Volunteers of Warwick schools (VOWS), conducts regular preschool screening clinics. All Warwick preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 are offered the Early Screening Inventory-Revised (ESI-R). This is a free service provided by the Warwick Public Schools. Participation in a Developmental Screening is a long established program of the Warwick School Department that provides families with information about their child's development and offers information about community resources. Free Sunday Lunch
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 389 Greenwich Ave., is offering a free lunch for anyone in need of a meal or companionship. All are welcome every Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information call 737-6758.

Rhode Island Pet Bird Club

Donate Shop
The Donate Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift store that provides free clothing to families in crisis. They are an all-volunteer organization that relies solely on the support of the community to continue this endeavor. The shop has a new location at 400 Warwick Ave., Unit #14, between Dunkin Donuts and Shaw's. Gambling Counseling Offered

Domestic Violence Volunteers
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center (EBCC) is currently seeking volunteers for their Speakers Bureau. All volunteers will be trained to provide outreach, as a representative of EBCC, to communities in their service area through attendance at health and community fairs and by fulfilling requests for informational speaking engagements. Volunteers will receive thorough and specialized training under the supervision of the agency services coordinator before beginning this work. Fife and Drum Corps
The Kentish Guards Fife and Drum Corps rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at the Kentish Guards Armory on Pierce St. in East Greenwich. Free lessons on playing the fife are provided to men and young men interested in joining the corps.

Fife & Drum Corps
Join the Pawtuxet Rangers Fife & Drum Corps of Warwick and continue the great tradition of Colonial/Revolutionary history through music. The Fife & Drum Corps meets every Wednesday night at Wyman Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The corps is open to anyone over the age of 12. Drum and fife instruction is available to beginners.
