Meadowbrook Bingo

Meadowbrook Terrace, 2220 Warwick Ave., has bingo every Friday might at 6:30 p.m., featuring great prizes and a wonderful group of people. All are welcome.

Warwick Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society meets weekly at the John Waterman Arnold House on Roger Williams Circle Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. All are welcome and urged to become a member and volunteer. Daughters of Isabella

Jewelry Making Class

Jewelry-Making Class for ages 13 and up is open at Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, Nov. 16 from 1-3 p.m. The class introduces students to basic techniques as they create necklaces, earrings, cast pendants and jewel boxes. Using metals, costume jewelry, plus found objects and materials, students will create unique, wearable art under the guidance of certified instructor Kerri Fletcher. Holiday Cards & Gift Tags Workshops

Ages 15+ will get into the spirit of the holidays by designing personalized greeting cards and artful gift tags at these two-hour workshops Nov. 16 at Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road. Warwick artist Patty Martucci leads these creative and free-spirited workshops from 10 a.m.-12 noon. $15 per workshop includes materials; early registration is encouraged by phone (using MasterCard or Visa) or by stopping by during gallery hours. Turkey Supper

The First Congregational Church of Warwick, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., is having their annual all you can eat turkey supper Nov. 16 from 4:30-p.m. This all you can eat dinner includes turkey with vegetables, stuffing, gravy, beverages and our delicious homemade desserts. Cost for adults is $12. Children 12 and under cost $5. Children under 5 are free. Come early, this sells out quick.

ProCare Therapy Services Open House

Come join in celebrating the opening of the Cranston office of ProCare Therapy Services – Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy Nov. 20 from 2-5 p.m. at 1441 Park Ave., Cranston. Ocean State Toastmasters

Ocean State Toastmasters will hold its next meeting Nov. 19 from 7-9 p.m. at Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Road. Ocean State Toastmasters holds its regular meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Norwood Neighborhood

Association

A general meeting of the Norwood Neighborhood Association will be held Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Norwood Boys & Girls Club, 43 Fredericks St. A PowerPoint presentation will provide an update on solving community issues and raising property values. This topic has an enormous impact on all residents and everyone should attend. Refreshments and snacks will be served. All are welcome.

Friends of the Warwick

Animal Shelter

The monthly meeting for Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter will be held Nov. 21 at their new location, Pilgrim Senior Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway (behind Benny’s on Warwick Avenue and near Pilgrim High School) at 6:30 p.m. They will be finalizing plans for the Christmas craft fair to be held on Dec. 7. Considering Adoption?

Adoption Options is holding a free informational session for those considering adoption and interested in hearing about available options. Licensed adoption workers will be available to provide information and answer questions. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 21 from 6-7 p.m. at 959 North Main Street, Providence. Adoption Options, a non-sectarian, non-profit, comprehensive adoption program of Jewish Family Service works with prospective adoptive parents, birth parents and people who have been adopted. The agency is licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with offices in Attleboro and Providence. The agency’s work with all members of the adoption triad is focused on helping individuals to understand their options and make the most informed choices for their future. Benefit Concert

There will be a concert to benefit the RI Food Bank and the Woodbury Food Pantry Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at Woodbury Union Church, 58 Beach Ave. Entertainment provided by Bayside Beat. Donation is $5 and a canned good (children under 12 are gree). Refreshments will be served.

Nature’s Gifts Exhibit

Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, is looking for compelling photographic images of the natural world for an exhibit called “Nature’s Gifts” that will run Nov. 23 through Dec. 21 in the main gallery. The beauty and grandeur of nature in its many forms will be showcased with framed works, notecards and prints. All photographers who live in New England are welcome to submit .jpegs for consideration, including students enrolled in undergrad or graduate art studies. Free Winter Coat Exchange

In observance of Buy Nothing Day, a free winter coat exchange will be held at Woodbury Union Church Nov. 29 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Coats will be collected from those who no longer need them and distributed to those who can use them. Anyone in need of winter wear is welcome. Donations of winter coats, jackets or cold weather vests in all sizes and in good condition are needed. Items may be dropped off at the church on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-12 noon or brought on the day of the exchange. Chanukah at Warwick Mall will be held Dec. 1 at 3:30 p.m. Jewish music by Stan Freedman & Sounds of Simcha. Design your own Lego menorah, sale and gift shop, lighting of the giant Lego menorah, Jon Nelson’s Rockin’ Chanukah Review, latkes and Chanukah gelt.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Greenwich Bay Women’s Club is sponsoring a daytrip to New York City. Come see the Christmas lights, shop for the holidays, take in a play - it’s up to you. The bus leaves R.I. at 7 a.m. and will drop you off mid-town. Enjoy your day, then head for home without having to drive. Stone Ridge

Candlelight Tour

The Stone Ridge Neighborhood Association (located in East Greenwich) will be holding its annual Luminaria Dec. 14 from 5-9 p.m. with a rain date of Dec. 15. This is a long-standing neighborhood tradition spanning over 25 years. The neighborhood provides an outdoor display for the holidays, which includes traditional holiday decorations and thousands of paper bag lanterns decorating curbs, driveways and walkways.  Last year the neighborhood was lined with over 3,000 lit lanterns. People from all over Rhode Island come to slowly drive through the neighborhood with headlights dimmed. Follow Middle Road west of Route 2 to second right (Stone Ridge Drive).

Pilgrim Senior Center Trips

The Tuesday Pilgrim Senior Center singing group is sponsoring a nine-night cruise to Puerto Rico, Bermuda, St. Marteen and Haiti on April 24-May 3, 2014. Call Diane at 738-8588 for prices.

Clothing Drive

Aphasia Conversation Group

On the second Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m., Sargent Rehabilitation Center, 800 Quaker Lane, Warwick, holds an aphasia conversation group. The Village Singers

The Village Singers, an adult vocal ensemble, is seeking new members for all voice parts: soprano, alto, tenor and baritone. Donate Shop

The Donate Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift store that provides free clothing to families in crisis. They are an all-volunteer organization that relies solely on the support of the community to continue this endeavor. The shop has a new location at 400 Warwick Ave., Unit #14, between Dunkin Donuts and Shaw’s. Free Sunday Lunch
