Meadowbrook Bingo

Meadowbrook Terrace, 2220 Warwick Ave., has bingo every Friday might at 6:30 p.m., featuring great prizes and a wonderful group of people. All are welcome.

Warwick Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society meets weekly at the John Waterman Arnold House on Roger Williams Circle Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. All are welcome and urged to become a member and volunteer. Benefit Concert

There will be a concert to benefit the RI Food Bank and the Woodbury Food Pantry Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at Woodbury Union Church, 58 Beach Ave. Entertainment provided by Bayside Beat. Donation is $5 and a canned good (children under 12 are free). Refreshments will be served.

Craft Show

Warwick Memorial Post 272 and Ladies Auxiliary, 840 West Shore Road, Warwick, will be holding a bake sale and craft show Nov. 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. They also will be holding a pasta dinner Dec. 7 from 1-4 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person, children 6 and under are $4. Deadline for tickets is Dec. 1.

Nature’s Gifts Exhibit

Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, is looking for compelling photographic images of the natural world for an exhibit called “Nature’s Gifts” that will run Nov. 23 through Dec. 21 in the main gallery. The beauty and grandeur of nature in its many forms will be showcased with framed works, notecards and prints. All photographers who live in New England are welcome to submit .jpegs for consideration, including students enrolled in undergrad or graduate art studies. Bake Sale/Craft Sale

The Ladies Auxiliary, Warwick Memorial Post 272, 840 West Shore Road, will hold a bake sale/craft sale Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come for some scrumptious delectibles and lovely handmade gifts and accessories.

Health Care Mass

St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, will celebrate National Caregivers Month of November by hosting a Health Care Mass to thank caregivers and to offer the Sacrament of the Sick to those who wish to receive it. The event will take place at St. Francis Church 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday Nov. 24. All are invited.

State Grange Meeting

The Rhode Island State Grange will hold a statewide meeting for all granges in the state Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at Oaklawn Grange Hall at 42 Wheelock Avenue, Cranston. The state grange department heads will be available to announce any changes to their programs. The new co-directors of the youth department will the youth program for the 2013-2014 Grange year. Also from this meeting it is hoped that a State Grange calendar can be put together. Grange members are asked to bring dates

of importance to their granges so they might also be included. Of importance to attend are the master, lecturer, and chairman of all the granges’ committees.

Pet Photos with Santa,

Rudolph or Frosty

Have your pet’s photo taken with Santa, Rudolph or Frosty Nov. 24 from 12:30-5 p.m. at Pet Supplies “Plus” in Garden City Plaza, Cranston. Free Thanksgiving Dinner

Free Winter Coat Exchange

In observance of Buy Nothing Day, a free winter coat exchange will be held at Woodbury Union Church Nov. 29 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Coats will be collected from those who no longer need them and distributed to those who can use them. Anyone in need of winter wear is welcome. Donations of winter coats, jackets or cold weather vests in all sizes and in good condition are needed. Items may be dropped off at the church on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-12 noon or brought on the day of the exchange. Chanukah at Warwick Mall will be held Dec. 1 at 3:30 p.m. Jewish music by Stan Freedman & Sounds of Simcha. Design your own Lego menorah, sale and gift shop, lighting of the giant Lego menorah, Jon Nelson’s Rockin’ Chanukah Review, latkes and Chanukah gelt.

Classic Christmas

The Rhode Island State Grange Lecturer’s Department invites everyone to a Classic Christmas featuring “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The event will be held Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at Oaklawn Grange Hall, 42 Wheelock Ave., Cranston. Admission is two canned goods per person to benefit the Rhode Island State Grange Community Service Department. Bring a comfortable lawn chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy the show. Crafting for Critters Craft Fair

Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter is hosting their annual Crafting for Critters Christmas Craft Fair Dec. 7 at the Buttonwoods Community Center, 3027 West Shore Road, Warwick, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Over 40 vendors will be gathered under one roof selling their wares just in time for Christmas. Products for sale include stained glass, Silpada jewelry, tutus for children, handmade chocolates, photography, handmade candles, crafts for animal lovers, handcrafted jewelry, Wildtree herbs, Pampered Chef housewares, baked goods, all natural dog treats, glass block art, clothing, books and more. All proceeds will benefit the homeless animals at the Warwick Animal Shelter.

Sparrows Point II Tenants Association

Christmas in New York

On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Greenwich Bay Women’s Club is sponsoring a daytrip to New York City. Come see the Christmas lights, shop for the holidays, take in a play - it’s up to you. The bus leaves R.I. at 7 a.m. and will drop you off mid-town. Enjoy your day, then head for home without having to drive.
