Meadowbrook Bingo

Meadowbrook Terrace, 2220 Warwick Ave., has bingo every Friday might at 6:30 p.m., featuring great prizes and a wonderful group of people. All are welcome.

Warwick Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society meets weekly at the John Waterman Arnold House on Roger Williams Circle Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. All are welcome and urged to become a member and volunteer. Free Community Lunch

St. Timothy’s Family Night

St. Timothy’s Church is holding a Family Night at Lemongrass Thai Vietnamese Cambodian & Chinese Cuisine, 1138 Post Road; Warwick, Jan. 25 at 5:30 p.m. Donation is $20 adults, $10 children. For each adult ticket purchased receive one free raffle ticket. All proceeds benefit St. Timothy’s Helping Hands For The Needy. Call the rectory at 739-9552 for tickets and further information.

Book Signing

Warwick artist and art historian Ann Eckert Brown will present a PowerPoint program on interior painted decorations in early Rhode Island houses at Linden Place in Bristol on Jan. 26. Wawick Women’s Club

Sampson Air Force Meeting

The monthly meeting of Sampson Air Force Base veterans will be held Jan. 28 at 1300 hours. All Air Force veterans, especially Sampson AFB vets, are welcome to the RI Sampson AFB Veterans Squadron. The Squadron holds monthly luncheons on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Pinelli’s Italian Café, 701 Quaker Lane, West Warwick.

Relay for Life Kickoff Meeting

The Kickoff meeting for Warwick’s Relay for Life Event is being held Jan. 30 at the Grid Iron Ale House & Grille from 6-8 p.m. Join them for appetizers and information on how you can get involved with this year’s Relay For Life Event. Adult Art Classes

Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, is holding adult art classes from January to March. The winter schedule of adult art classes has just been announced: Watercolors for Beginners runs through January 30, Mixed Media & Collage runs February 4-20, and Watercolors for Intermediates runs February 25 through March 13. Classes will run for three weeks and meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 pm. Sports Collectors Show

The 38th Annual Cranston Sports Collectors Show will be held Feb. 1 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at West Valley Inn, 4 Blossom St., West Warwick. $3 per person. Sponsored by St. Joseph Men’s Guild of Immaculate Conception Parish. Contact person Thomas McDonough at 942-1854 (church phone).

Bingo

Bingo will be held Feb. 1 at St. Kevin’s Church Hall, 333 Sandy Lane, starting with a $75 special and the last special is $100. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6.

Annual Pasta Dinner & Fundraiser        

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 West Shore Road, Warwick, is holding its annual pasta dinner and fundraiser Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. Cost is $10 per person, $12 per person including wine; children 12 and under are free. Come enjoy a nice homemade Italian dinner. Bring your friends and neighbors. Tickets must be purchased by Jan. 29; call 737-3127 for more information.

Save the Bay Open House

On Sunday, Feb. 9 from 2-4 p.m. there will be an open house at Save the Bay headquarters for marine science summer camp and Edgewood Sailing School youth and adult lessons. Come learn about joint sailing/marine science programs and other “learn to sail” activities. There will be a door prize. Save the Bay Drive, Fields Point, Providence.

New England Steel Guitar

New England Steel Guitar will meet Feb. 9 at Post 15, Main St., East Greenwich, from 1-5 p.m. The band will be Branded. Kitchen will be open.

Gorton High School Luncheon

Men’s Senior Softball

Registration is now underway for men 57 and over to join the Warwick Senior Softball League. It is a recreational league whose priorities are fun, safety and friendly competition. You do not have to be a Warwick resident to join. All games (double headers) begin at 9 a.m. and are played at City Park in Warwick on Wednesday mornings. The application fee is $20. Deadline for registration is March 15. Pilgrim Senior Center Trips

New Gallery Hours at WMOA

The main gallery at Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, Warwick, is now open Tuesdays through Fridays 10 a.m.-5 p.m. so exhibits are available to school groups, home-school students and anyone who can stop by on their lunch hour. The main gallery is also open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for those who work during the week. Friday Comedy Shows

New for 2014,  the Bring Your Own Improv comedy troupe will perform two shows on Fridays at Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road: 7-8:30 p.m. Family-Friendly Comedy Show (G-rated laughs) and 9-10:30 p.m. Late Night Comedy Show (PG-13 rated laughs). Kick off your weekend with laughter when BYOI takes audience suggestions, comedy skits morph instantly and the actors react to the silliness onstage. Every show is brand new, so you’ll want to become a regular. Tickets are priced to be budget-friendly, and they’re available at the door or online at www.bringyourownimprov.com. Hi-Lo-Jack League

There is a hi-lo-jack league at the Buttonwoods Communitry Center every Thursday at 12:30 p.m. open to anyone who likes to play. If interested call George Gange at 739-6682.

Clothing Drive

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State is seeking donations of gently-used clothing and small household items. Donations help to raise much-needed funding to support mentoring programs for boys and girls throughout the state. They offer convenient home pick-up of donations and provide a tax receipt. For more information or to schedule a home pick-up call 921-2434 or visit www.bbbsos.org.
