Meadowbrook Bingo

Meadowbrook Terrace, 2220 Warwick Ave., has bingo every Friday might at 6:30 p.m., featuring great prizes and a wonderful group of people. All are welcome.

Warwick Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society meets weekly at the John Waterman Arnold House on Roger Williams Circle Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. All are welcome and urged to become a member and volunteer. Tri City Elks Events

Bingo Feb. 21. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

Young Neal & the Vipers and Dave Howard Feb. 28 at 8:30 p.m. $6 at the door.

Running through June 9, Tri-City Elks #14 will be holding beginner line dance classes every Monday night from 7-8:30 p.m. at 1915 West Shore Road. All ages are welcomed. Cost is $6 per person. For more information call Lori at 821-4361 or the lodge at 737-9510.

Guest Speaker from Social Security

A guest speaker from the Social Security Administration will be at H&R Block, 361 Reservoir Ave., Providence, Feb. 25 from 9-10 a.m. The presentation will cover Social Security benefits, retirement, Medicare, disability, divorce, spouse, widow, online and a Q & A at the end. Warwick Women’s Club

Trout Unlimited Membership Meeting

Narragansett Trout Unlimited Chapter #225 will hold it February membership meeting Feb. 26 at the Coventry/West Greenwich Elks Lodge #2285, 42 Nooseneck Road, West Greenwich, starting at 7 p.m. Join in for a presentation by Steve Culton on “Wet Flies 10: The ancient and traditional art of subsurface fly fishing.” Steve will cover all the basics, including leader construction, fly types and selection, where to fish wets and presentation. Steve is an outdoors writer whose work has appeared in national publications. He is also a guide on Connecticut’s Farmington River and a professional fly tier. Bingo

Bingo will be held March 1 at St. Kevin’s Church Hall, 333 Sandy Lane, starting with a $75 special with the last special at $100. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6.

Doug Thompson Memorial Talent Show

The Doug Thompson Memorial Talent Show will be held March 1 at 7 p.m. at Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian, 58 Beach Ave. Tickets are $10 per person, $25 per family and may be purchased the night of the show.

Love Medicine Exhibit

“Love Medicine,” a Native American art exhibit, will be at the Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, now through March 1. Themes of family, passion and cultural identity are explored in this new exhibit of Native American art based on the award-winning novel “Love Medicine” by Louise Erdrich. Showcasing 43 works by 13 artists of the Narragansett, Wampanoag, Choctaw, Navajo, Chicksaw, Mexican Apache and Ojibwe tribes, the exhibit is a unique opportunity to explore traditional and contemporary works in various mediums – beadwork, painting, sculpture, woven and painted fabrics, photography, and ceremonial artifacts. For more information visit us on Facebook or at www.warwickmuseum.

Daughters of Isabella

The St. Benedict Circle #423, Daughters of Isabella will hold a monthly business meeting March 3 at 7 p.m. in the parish library. All members are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Getting Started Education Series

Family members, caregivers and friends of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or a related memory disorder, are invited to this four-part series to learn, discuss and prepare. You will meet others who share similar concerns and experience. The “Getting Started” education series will be held Tuesday nights through March at the Phyllis Siperstein Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence, 3 Shalom Dr., Warwick. Gaspee Seniors

Keno Night

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 449, 197 Providence St., West Warwick, will hold a Keno Night sponsored by the Rhode Island Lottery March 7 from 6-8 p.m. This event features increased lottery payouts, raffles and free refreshments. For more information contact 828-9715.

Know What Medications

You Are Taking

West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will present the second lecture of this year, Brown Bag of Drugs: Know What Medications You Are Taking, March 11, at 239 Legris Ave., West Warwick. Learn the importance of your medications, signs and symptoms of concern, and an overview of why your medication has been prescribed for you. Additional pharmaceutical information and handouts will be provided. Speak with a registered pharmacist and have your questions answered. This is a free one-hour lecture. It will be held at 10 a.m. and repeated again at 7 p.m. Call 828-9000 for registration. Everyone is welcome.

Men’s Senior Softball

Registration is now underway for men 57 and over to join the Warwick Senior Softball League. It is a recreational league whose priorities are fun, safety and friendly competition. You do not have to be a Warwick resident to join. All games (double headers) begin at 9 a.m. and are played at City Park in Warwick on Wednesday mornings. The application fee is $20. Deadline for registration is March 15. Benefit Concert & Dinner

The Mustard Seed Farm will be hosting a benefit concert and dinner beginning at 6 p.m. on March 29 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston, sponsored by Cat Country to help support  our equine-assisted therapy program. The evening features blues legend, James Montgomery, Dynamic Sounds Unlimited, dinner/appetizer, silent auction, raffles and door prize. The Mustard Seed Farm will be operating a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in East Greenwich that is dedicated to providing equine-assisted therapy for veterans, families and developmentally-challenged children. One of the programs called The Seeds of Courage Program is designed specifically for providing equine-assisted therapy and activities for veterans and emergency responders to support them in personal and professional development. Their programs are designed to challenge, strengthen and enlighten. For tickets call 465-3511. $55 per person, $100 VIP and $25 children 12 and under.
