Bingo April 25, kitchen opens a 5 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:30.

Sixth annual fishing derby for boys & girls ages 5-12 April 26 at 7 a.m. Please stop in after 3 at the lodge and sign your kids up. Two age groups: 5-8 and 9-12. A fishing pole will be awarded to one child in each group that catches the largest fish. Bring a pole and bait. Fish weigh-in will be at 11 a.m. with hotdogs and chips following.

Roger Ceresi’s All Starz Swinging in the Spring April 26 from 8:15-11:15 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or $12 at the door.

New Art Classes for Ages 17 and Up

Jumpstart spring by adding colorful creativity to your life with art classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road. Three-week classes are bursts of creativity that fit busy schedules. Gaspee Seniors

Boys & Girls Club Meeting

A general meeting will be held April 15 at 7 p.m. at the Norwood Boys & Girls Club, 43 Frederick St. There will be a special presentation by Minimum Housing representatives covering typical compliance issues and homeowner and/or neighbor-problem resolutions. There will also be a community police crime update report. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

Ocean State Toastmasters Meeting

Ocean State Toastmasters will hold its next meeting April 15 from 7-9 p.m. at Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Road. Ocean State Toastmasters holds its regular meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The club is one of 13,500 in Toastmasters International, a nonprofit, educational organization devoted to the development of public speaking and leadership skills. Norwood Neighborhood Association

A general meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 15, at 7:00 pm, at the Norwood Boys & Girls Club, 43 Frederick Street.  A Community Police Report will be made followed by an interesting Minimum Housing Presentation by the Director and the Housing Compliance Officer. In addition,  free packets of flower, plant and vegetable seeds will be provided at the meeting that will  lead-up to  our May 15th Meeting with a Master Gardener and a Super Gardening Presentation. Meet the State Candidates

The Warwick AARP Community Group is hosting an important event April 17 from 5-7 p.m. at the Buttonwoods Community Center. Here is your opportunity to personally meet all the statewide candidates and learn how they plan to address the issues facing Baby Boomers and beyond. This event is free and open to the public of all ages. It will be your chance to ask the question of the candidates.

Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter

The monthly meeting for Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter will be held April 17 at the Pilgrim Senior Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway (behind Benny’s on Warwick Avenue and near Pilgrim High School) at 6:30 p.m. They will report on the very successful breakfast and also finalizing plans for the craft fair to be held on May 10. Easter Egg Hunt & Breakfast

The William Shields Jr. American Legion Post #43 Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt & Breakfast April 19 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Breakfast will consist of Ham & Eggs, Home Fries, Juice and Coffee. Cost is $10 for adults and children under 12 are admitted free. April Vacation Art Camp

Stretch your child’s imagination with new camp sessions during spring break (April 21-25) at Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road. Camp runs Monday through Friday; morning sessions are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. p.m., afternoon sessions are 1:30-4:30 for families with busy schedules. Favorites like drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, and clay sculpture will be offered again. New sessions include book making, cartooning, creative building, Earth Day crafts, and recycled sculpture. All sessions cost $25. East Greenwich Leisure Learning

Do you enjoy learning something new in a fun and friendly environment? East Greenwich Leisure Learning, membership organization now in its 36th year, welcomes interested adults, regardless of residency, to join them by registering for their upcoming six-week series of 12 lectures and programs The dates for the spring series are April 24 and May 1, 8 and15, with morning and afternoon presentation each day. Topics of lectures vary from the practical to the historical, especially Rhode Island history, and anything in between Programs are held at St. Luke’s Parish House on the corner of Peirce and Church Sts. Edgewood Yacht Club Open House

Dogpatch Fundraising Event

Dogpatch Grooming Salon will be hosting a fundraising event May 3 (rain or shine) from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.  Dogpatch is located in historic Apponaug at 99 Brownlee Blvd. Featuring more than 15 vendors tables, raffles, refreshments and much, much more. There will also be a clothing sale, which benefits the American Diabetes Association. One hundred percent of all the proceeds raised goes to charity. Come out and support them by stopping at vendor tables or trying your luck in the raffle, or simply stop by with an item needed by one of the local animal shelters. Community Tag Sale

The Conimicut Village Association will host its annual Spring Village-Wide Yard Sale May 17 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. All Conimicut residents/businesses are welcome to participate at no cost by calling 524-8404 or by emailing ginbarham1@aol.com with the address where you will set up. CVA will advertise statewide. Maps showing all participating homes will be available for download at www.conimicut.org and on Craigslist after May 14 and at many participating homes the day of the event. There is no cost to participate.

The divorce group is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Grief Support Group

Those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one are welcome to come to one or all of the grief support sessions that will be held at the Christ Church Office Condo (61 Cedar Ave., Unit 6, East Greenwich) every Sunday from 2-4 p.m. through June 1. The meetings will begin with a video featuring interviews with leading authors, counselors, speakers and pastors covering a variety of topics to help you deal with your grief, followed by discussion and sharing. Clothing Collection Drive

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State is holding a collection drive for gently used clothing and small household items. Donations help to raise funds to support mentoring programs for boys and girls throughout the state. They offer convenient free home pick-up of donations and provide a tax receipt.
