Tri-City Elks
Country line dancing every Monday from 6-8:30 p.m. Cost is $6 per person. Come and join the fun. Proceeds to benefit Elks charities.

Roger Ceresi & The All Starz Fall Classic Oct. 25. Music from 8-11 p.m.. Tickets are $10 per person (advance purchase), $12 per person (at the door). Tickets available in the lounge at the Elks. Great time for all.
Turkey trot Nov. 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Entrance fee is the purchase of two books of raffle tickets for $10. Meal and nine chances to win a turkey. Turkey tickets will be pulled every 15 minutes starting at 7 p.m. Bring your friends.

Ocean State Toastmasters
Ocean State Toastmasters will hold its next meeting Oct. 21 from 7-9 p.m. at Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Road. Ocean State Toastmasters holds its regular meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The club is one of some 13,500 in Toastmasters International, a nonprofit, educational organization devoted to the development of public speaking and leadership skills. St. Benedict’s Chopstick Auction
A Chopstick Auction will be Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. at the St. Benedict Parish Centre, 70 Transit St., Warwick (handicapped accessible). Pasta dinner at 5 p.m. followed by a chopstick auction. Tickets for the dinner are $10 per person. Golden chopsticks are $25. Many wonderful auction items. Dinner and raffle tickets are available by calling the Rectory Office at 737-9492. A grand raffle will be held, with a 1st prize of $1,000, 2nd prize of $300 and 3rd prize of $200.

Pilgrim Senior Center Holiday Bazaar
Huge Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Pilgrim Senior Center. Gifts, jewelry, holiday decorations, hand-knit and crocheted items, beautiful quilts, books and puzzles, a White Elephant room filled with treasures and much more! R.I. Open Juried Exhibit
Warwick artists showcased in the eagerly-anticipated 28th Annual RI Open Juried Exhibit, to be held Oct. 25, include calligrapher Sharon D. Eisman, digital artist Krzystof Mathews, painters Robin Beckwith, Barbara Canning and Joan Edge and photographers Barbara DeCesare, Keith Jochim, Jennifer Reardon Magil, Chris St. Pierre and Louise St. Pierre. Pasta Dinner & Raffle
Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter will hold its 10th annual pasta dinner & raffle Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m. at Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Ave., Warwick. Warwick Municipal Retirees Association
The Warwick Municipal Retirees Association will meet Oct. 29 at the Pilgrim Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. to enjoy guest speaker from the Better Business Bureau Megan Kellett. She will be speaking on identity theft. There are executive board positions to fill. If you are interested and are a member in good standing, you are eligible to be nominated for the position. JONAH Meat Raffle
Join your friends and neighbors in support of JONAH (Join Our Neighborhood And Help) on Oct. 30. Bingo

Greenwood Community Church Anniversary
On Nov. 16 Greenwood Community Church Presbyterian will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its founding at the 9:30 a.m. worship service. Usually Greenwood has two worship services on Sundays, but on Nov. 16 there is just one service of worship. Any and all people are invited to this worship service; you need not be members, as all are welcome to attend this special anniversary celebration.

Open Life Drawing Studio
Announcing a new opportunity to study anatomical form and structure, foreshortening, and composition while drawing from live models. On the third Monday each month, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 15, from 6 to 8:30 pm, the main gallery at the Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Rd., Warwick, becomes a studio for those who want to try drawing from a live model, and for experienced artists who want to stretch their skills. Moms RI
Support a new mother, share your experience and make a new friend. You can make a difference with just on hour a week. Moms for Moms RI helps pregnant women and new mothers deal with an enormous transition by matching them with trained volunteers who are mothers themselves. The program provides emotional and social support and strives to connect new moms to resources within their own communities. Mentors develop a warm, supportive relationship while spending time with the new mom in their homes, accompanying them on outings, and attending mom gatherings. Volunteers Needed to Sew
Looking for something to do to help foster kids? Organizers of The Sewing Project to Help Foster Kids are looking for volunteers who want to help sew pillowcase or duffel bags for foster children. Currently their belongings are sometimes put in black trash bags. Foster parent Adriane Grimaldi in Scottsdale, Ariz. started the Sewing Project in February 2008 for children taken from their homes by Child Protective Services (CPS) to make kid-friendly bags for carrying their belongings instead of trash bags. To date, people have made 6,700 pillowcase bags for foster kids Pillowcase bags are delivered to CPS to use instead of trash bags. The Sewing Project has opened a new Rhode Island Chapter working with the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) and is in need of volunteers to sew. Domestic Abuse Support Groups
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center is a non-profit agency providing services to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault. The agency offers morning and evening support groups for adults dealing with current or past domestic abuse Groups provide a safe place to talk with others who have shared similar experiences. You may be eligible for free care including mammogram and gynecological care.

Old Warwick Grange #41
The Grange is a fraternal community service, non-profit organization with a special interest in rural life and the traditions of faith, patriotism, leadership and family values Grange where the whole family can go and grow Help them to help others The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. No meetings in July or August. Developmental Screening
The Child Outreach Department of the Warwick Public Schools, in cooperation with the Volunteers of Warwick schools (VOWS), conducts regular preschool screening clinics. All Warwick preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 are offered the Early Screening Inventory-Revised (ESI-R). This is a free service provided by the Warwick Public Schools. Participation in a Developmental Screening is a long established program of the Warwick School Department that provides families with information about their child's development and offers information about community resources.
